The North Carolina State Board of Education has voted to award a new contract to Infinite Campus, initiating a modernization of the North Carolina Student Information System (NCSIS). Nash County Public Schools is part of the Phase 1 rollout.
Key Information:
NCSIS (North Carolina Student Information System): A digital platform used statewide for managing student records.
PowerSchool: The current SIS used by NCPS for checking student grades and access to the ParentPortal. (NOT CANVAS OR ROOMS)
ISRs (Individual Student Reports): Reports provide detailed information on student progress.
PSU (Public School Unit): Nash County Public Schools is a "Public School Unit" aka. "PSU" is state/government verbiage for how they describe a public school system.
Phase 1 Rollout: Nash County Public Schools is part of Phase 1 of the NCSIS rollout. The updated system will not support digital ISRs in the 2024โ25 school year, and ISRs for the 2023โ24 school year will no longer be accessible in PowerSchool after June 28, 2024.
Please download or print any important ISRs before this date or contact the school for a hard copy.
ISR Distribution: During the 2023โ24 school year, digital ISRs won't be available for Phase 1 PSUs beyond June 28, 2024. If needed, schools must provide paper ISRs to students and parents. Contact your school for help downloading a digital copy.
What to expect in the 2024โ25 School Year: Phase 1 PSUs will not be able to release digital ISRs until this feature becomes available in the new system. Paper copies must be distributed until the digital process is developed and implemented.

IB Theory of Knowledge Exhibition
๐๐ก Students enrolled in the IB Diploma Program at Rocky Mount High participated in the annual Theory of Knowledge Exhibition. โ๏ธ๐ง Theory of Knowledge is the course in which students examine various forms of knowledge while reflecting on how we know what we claim to know. ๐กThis course is the foundation of the entire IB Diploma Program. ๐ The students study their other IB courses through the lens of the perspectives gained in this class. ๐The students had the freedom to choose their own topic. They chose 3 objects and explored how these objects manifest an area of knowledge while explaining how it manifests in the world around us. ๐ During their presentations, the students connected ordinary items to the various ways of knowing that they explored in class. ๐๐ก
